An appealing design for a public convenience

The very basic toilet facility in a community centre in Edgeware, north London, was in urgent need of a transformation. An interior design specialist commissioned Accent to create an area that is clean, easy to maintain, and invites respect from the users.

This comprehensive project was achieved over four weeks. The key challenge was to complete each stage with minimal disruption to the occupants of the building, and tight control of any dirt and dust. As part of our design input, we recommended that bespoke wall duct panelling be used for a seamless finish, and feature tiling and window boxing cut-outs be included as decorative elements.

The public and workers in the area have responded positively to the new modern interior, glad to have the convenience of such a welcoming facility. The client was pleased with our management of the project and our attention to detail, which meant a successful completion.
